Broken Hearts on Ice
The principle focus of Andrew Grathwohl's music, Broken Hearts on Ice is a multi-faceted music project. It showcases Grathwohl's three primary musical focuses: musical chance (aleatory), algorithmic/generative musics, and improvisation. It thus possesses a varied output, ranging from electronic noise compositions (Sub-Reality Musics) to full ensemble aleatory pieces (Topographical Improvising).
Officer Deaf
This trio is defined by its unique instrumentation and composition techniques. Officer Deaf is made up of Andrew Grathwohl on laptop, Spencer Gray on analog synthesizer, and Joshua Morrow on drums and electronic drums. They are known for their lengthy improvised jams and intense freak-out sections, characterized by a strong urge to musically characterize madness and anarchy.
Rob Funkhouser
A young and upcoming composer from Indiana, Rob Funkhouser integrates unique multi-instrumentalism (everything from the piano and percussion to modern electronics) into a versatile and heavily-spatial musical language. His latest CD on G-Wohl Productions is titled "Staircases To Nowhere" and will be available for purchase in 2009.
